About Hollin Hakimian, M.Ed.

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. As the youngest of six kids (I like to think my parents saved the best for last), I've sat through more than a few high school graduations on lawns across Duval County.

In all seriousness, though, when I was applying to college, I had a built-in team of advisors, my siblings, who'd all walked the walk before me, admittedly much better than I ever could, and who helped me find my own voice for my own application. Not everyone has a team of people who've already been through it and know which parts of the process actually matter. I want to be that for my students, someone who's walked the walk, and who's just as invested in helping them find their own voice.

Equipped with the questionably well-founded confidence only a youngest child could possess, in 2016, while still a high schooler in Jacksonville, I co-founded Dream Team, a nonprofit providing free tutoring, resume-building workshops, and college and career prep for underrepresented students in my hometown. My work has since earned recognition from the Mayor of Jacksonville.

I started college at Wellesley, then transferred to Dartmouth after a year, chasing a stronger fit and the chance to dig deeper into my research interests. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude, served as a Dartmouth Alumni Interviewer from 2022 to 2025, and spent my undergrad years mentoring incoming first-years and fellow transfer students through the same office that once evaluated my own application.

I later earned my Master's in Education from Stanford, where I worked in the Career Education office, training alongside the career coaching team and learning how to coach students and recent alumni through academic and industry paths.

After years pursuing degrees and supporting student success at Dartmouth and Stanford, I've settled back home in Jacksonville, ready to help students here find their own path, in their own voice.

Undergraduate Admissions Advising
I've been guiding students through the college admissions process since 2016.

Graduate Admissions Advising
I've been through the graduate school process myself, and I've helped students navigate their own, including MD, DO, and MS programs.

Transfer Student Advising
I started at Wellesley College before transferring to Dartmouth, so I understand the transfer process from the inside and can help other students through it.

College Athletics Recruiting
As a college athlete at Wellesley, I handled all of my own outreach to coaches. I enjoy helping student athletes learn to advocate for themselves in the recruiting process.

Research Positions and Applications
In addition to being President of the Dartmouth Undergraduate Research Association, I've held five research roles of my own and can help students find and land similar opportunities:
