Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using this website (the "Website") or engaging the services of Hollin Hakimian Admissions Consulting LLC, a Limited Liability Company formed in Florida, United States ("I," "me," "my," or the "Company"). These Terms contain important information regarding limitations of liability.

By accessing or using this Website, or by engaging my Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you do not have permission to access or use this Website or my Services. These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and users of the Website.

1. Services Provided

I provide independent college admissions advising, including but not limited to high school advising, transfer student advising, graduate school advising, college list development, essay support, activities list and resume development, and application management support (the "Services").

2. No Guarantee of Admission

I do not guarantee admission to any college, university, graduate program, scholarship, or opportunity. Admissions decisions are made solely by the institutions themselves, based on factors outside my control. My role is to provide guidance, feedback, and support, not to promise specific outcomes.

3. Client Responsibility and Academic Integrity

  • All essays, personal statements, applications, and other materials remain the original work of the student. I provide feedback, guidance, and editorial suggestions, but I do not write essays or application materials on a client's behalf.
  • Clients are solely responsible for the accuracy and honesty of all information submitted in their applications, including transcripts, activity lists, and personal statements.
  • Clients are responsible for meeting all deadlines set by individual institutions, testing agencies, and financial aid or scholarship programs. While I help track and manage deadlines, ultimate responsibility rests with the client and their family.

4. Not Affiliated with Any Institution

I am an independent consultant and am not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any college, university, the Common Application, Coalition Application, or any other institution or admissions organization referenced on this Website.

5. Minors

Many clients are minors. Services provided to a client under 18 require the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, including for purposes of engagement, payment, and communication. By engaging my Services on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian represents that they have the authority to do so and agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf.

6. Fees, Payment, and Cancellation

  • Service fees, packages, and payment terms will be provided directly to clients prior to the start of Services, typically via a signed agreement or invoice.
  • Payment is due according to the terms outlined in your individual service agreement.
  • A 50% deposit is due at the time of signing and is non-refundable once services begin. The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule outlined in your service agreement.
  • If Client cancels the engagement before all sessions or deliverables have been completed, the remaining, unused portion of the paid balance (beyond the 50% deposit) will be refunded on a prorated basis reflecting the work already completed.
  • No refunds will be issued for sessions or deliverables that have already been completed, or once the full engagement has been completed.
  • Individual sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be forfeited and are not eligible for refund or make-up, at Consultant's discretion.

7. Confidentiality

I treat all client information, essays, and academic materials as confidential and will not share them with third parties except as described in my Privacy Policy or with your explicit consent.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree to use this Website in accordance with all applicable laws and these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Impersonate or attempt to impersonate the Company, its representatives, or affiliates;
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Send or attempt to send spam, junk mail, chain mail, or unsolicited promotional material;
  • Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits another person's use of the Website, or that may harm the Company or its users;
  • Use the Website in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it, or interfere with another party's use of it;
  • Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access or monitor the Website for any purpose;
  • Introduce any virus, trojan horse, worm, or other harmful code to the Website;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers, or any connected database;

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Hollin Hakimian Admissions Consulting LLC be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of, relating to, or in any way connected with your access to, use of, or reliance on this Website or my Services — including but not limited to admissions decisions, missed deadlines caused by factors outside my control, reliance on general information appearing on this Website, or any third-party content, links, or services referenced on this Website — regardless of the legal theory asserted (negligence, contract, tort, strict liability, consumer protection statute, or otherwise), even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The aggregate liability of Hollin Hakimian Admissions Consulting LLC arising out of or relating to this Website or the Services, however characterized, shall be limited to the amount of fees actually paid by you to the Company.

This limitation of liability reflects the allocation of risk between you and the Company and will survive even if any limited remedy specified in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

This Website may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties, including but not limited to colleges, universities, testing agencies, and scholarship portals. These links are provided for reference only. I do not control these websites and am not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Inclusion of a hyperlink does not imply endorsement of the linked site.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including text, graphics, logos, and materials I have authored — is the property of Hollin Hakimian Admissions Consulting LLC unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

DMCA / Infringement Claims: If you believe in good faith that content on this Website infringes your intellectual property rights, please send written notice titled "Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights" that includes: (1) a signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner; (2) a description of the work claimed to be infringed, including its location on the Website; (3) your name, email, address, and phone number; and (4) a statement that you have a good faith belief the disputed use is not authorized. 13. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the advising relationship at any time, subject to the terms of the individual service agreement signed at the start of engagement. Fees for Services already rendered remain due.

14. Governing Law, Venue, and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. These Terms shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the Uniform Commercial Code, or Incoterms.

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including their interpretation or breach, shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Duval County, Florida.

Class Action Waiver: You and the Company agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action.

My failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and me regarding this Website and Services, and supersede any prior agreements regarding the same.

15. Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to make changes to these Terms of Service at any time. I will not provide you with any notice when we make changes to this Terms of Service.
